Gwylan had a fantastic day in celebration of the United nations International Yoga day. local school Children joined the team, practising yoga and creating amazing shapes on the beautiful Tenby sands.
The fun event held yoga activities and impressive interactive art displays. The children actively contributing to this commission led by talented artist Marc Treanor. The finished article, completed just in time for the reporters, became an attraction for the day, raising passing smiles from local’s and holiday makers.
A yoga space was also incorporated into the design, children and teachers joining the millions of people across the world who were participating in the United nations Yoga day event celebrated annually on June 21 since its inception in 2015. The beach backdrop being the perfect place to practice this holistic session led by yoga teacher Peter Kay.
The taster session’s gave children the opportunity to explore the benefits of Gwylan’s new program Yoga4schools. This well-being initiative creating pause points throughout the school day, enabling children to recharge, relax and reconnect. Children commenting on how much they had enjoyed the session, creating movement around the beach and using off the cuff creativity to design their own art in the sand.
S4C, fresh from Wales historic victory in France, filmed the events for the popular Heno program. BBC Radio Wales reporter Jason Phelps also capturing the event which will appeared on Radio Wales. Local internet TV Showboat will also stream the event from the day.
The relaxing day ended with children admiring their work from the vantage point before the return to school. The Gwylan teams day naturally closing with the advancing evening tide washing away the days events.
